Do Good!

The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of.” C.S. Lewis

This is such an exciting thought! We can NEVER underestimate the power of ONE good deed or word. Some day, months or years from now, perhaps we’ll see the fruit of the action. IF we consume ourselves with doing good, we won’t need a pat on the back or any other reward… a smile will be enough.

good is great,

  1. A very powerful truth of how our faith finds expression in what we say!

I’ve learned that if I consider “doing good” as my job, rather than me going out of my way to do something; I don’t need a reward. I just have to realize that the good acts I do are my job because I love Jesus, then I won’t be looking for the reward or validation. I can find joy in what I do because it’s who I am.

Thank you for sharing this quote and thought. A good reminder and it helps me refocus on my attitude.

  3. Right on! Lots to do today!

  4. Sometimes I hold back or hesitate when an opportunity comes, but that is so selfish and silly because I never know the affect it could have even if I don’t see sudden results. It’s like you’ve said before, you know it’s God when it means doing good. Why question if it’s gods will if it’s like Jesus?

Thanks PC for showing us how to consume ourselves with doing good!
