We suck at listening sometimes… a lot of times… well, to be honest, most of the time. We have so much competing for our attention, that’s it’s difficult to sit and remain focused & respectful while someone is speaking to us. We look around, cut them off, play with our smartphone or start thinking of our answer without hearing clearly what is being said.
We probably do that with God too – that is, IF we even consider the thought that He may have something to say. Today as I was reading Proverbs 18 (from the Message), a verse really hit this point out of the park…

My wife is such a GREAT listener — her example always helps me with this area! Do you have a good listener who you can learn from? Seek them out & then pay attention (yes, LISTEN)!

- why is listening so difficult?
- what percent of your conversations are ‘real‘?
- how can you improve today?
