“He has never let you down, never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He has never wandered off to do his own thing; he has been right there, listening. 25 Here in this great gathering for worship I have discovered this praise-life. And I’ll do what I promised right here in front of the God-worshipers.
26 Down-and-outers sit at God’s table and eat their fill. Everyone on the hunt for God is here, praising him. “Live it up, from head to toe. Don’t ever quit!” 27 From the four corners of the earth people are coming to their senses, are running back to God. Long-lost families are falling on their faces before him. 28 God has taken charge; from now on he has the last word. 29 All the power-mongers are before him – worshiping! All the poor and powerless, too – worshiping! Along with those who never got it together – worshiping! 30 Our children and their children will get in on this As the word is passed along from parent to child. 31 Babies not yet conceived will hear the good news – that God does what he says ” Psalm 22:24-31.
… standing on HIS word & worshiping Him with all I’ve got,

Q: What verse or phrase stood out to you? Why?

“He has never let you down, never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He has never wandered off to do his own thing; he has been right there, listening” vs. 24 –> He has NEVER let me down. He has ALWAYS been my helper. && He isn’t gonna ignore me. this verse pretty much sums up my week. tears fill my eyes when i think about the depth of who He is. no one could compare.
Yes! This is our God! Worship isn’t singing on Sunday mornings, it’s being tearful & speechless in His presence, overwhelmed by His love and our own gratefulness.
“27 From the four corners of the earth people are coming to their senses, are running back to God. Long-lost families are falling on their faces before him”
This is my hope and prayer for my co-workers and the families in the projects, and every person I come in contact with. To see lives changes by Christ. It’s why I’m breathing!
Thanks for sharing this pastor. I love this paraphrase of this passage.
Well, keep breathing — His Word is His Promise!
Worship is getting into His presence, honoring Him and loving Him for who He is and what He has done. Not for what I can get or because I have a hidden agenda. Worship is me honoring my God for all He is. Praise / worship is meant to bring you into the presence of God…. it should never be about you or me. Worship is all about Him.
Yes, ALL HIM!
(v27)From the four corners of the earth people are coming to their senses, are running back to God.
(v29)…Along with those who never got it together-worshiping!
NO ONE is ever too far gone! ALL people – those who’ve lost their senses, the ones who couldn’t make ends meet, and those that have always been left wanting – can praise the same Father! Family is too cool, especially Jesus’.
I love the idea of running to God being worship! If I’m living a life that is worship to God, I’m not stagnant with arms raised in one place, I’m running to Him with arms full of people to bring with!
Talk about encouragement. Thank you, Pastor!
Great observation: running to IS worshiping! Fun!
